Installation is Simple
We will walk you through 3 ways you can set up your swing; the eye screws(included), tree straps or rope clamp.

Find a sturdy tree branch or beam.
We recommend finding a branch that is at least 4-6 inches in diameter on a healthy tree (no dead branches please). The more level the branch the better.
Another popular spot to hang our bench swings is under a deck or porch. Here you will want to find a beam or a stud.
Installing your swing with eye screws* tools necessary
-
1. Pre-drill hole
Attach a 1/4 inch drill bit into the drill and drill a hole clockwise in the center of the beam. We think eyes are pretty amazing so we recommend sporting some sweet protective glasses while you do this.
-
2. Screw in the eye bolt
Twist the eye bolt into the hole that you just made, after a few turns you will need to use the screw driver for a little extra oomph. Use those muscles and continue to turn the screw until the threads are not visible.
-
3. Feed the rope through the eye and secure with a knot
Feed the rope through the eye screw until the swing is about 6 inches higher than the height you want it to be at. Watch the video below to see how to tie a secure knot.

Installing your swing using tree straps
-
1. Wrap the strap around the branch or beam
Depending on the diameter you can wrap, or cinch the strap to the tree. See pictures below.
-
2. Feed the rope through the D ring/ D Rings and secure with a knot
Feed the rope through the eye screw until the swing is about 6 inches higher than the height you want it to be at. Watch the video below to see how to tie a secure knot. Repeat for the other side.
-
3. Test it
Pull hard to insure that everything is snug. You may need to adjust the knots to make sure the swing is level. Remember that as the swing is used and the knots tighten the swing height will settle down a few inches.

Installing your swing using rope clamps
-
1. Wrap the rope around the branch
Take a moment to watch the video below. The way that we are showing you is self tightening and also simple to release if you choose to move the swing. Let the seat height be 6 inches higher than where you want to swing to end up.
-
2. Install and Tighten Rope Clamp
Starting with your fingers, tighten the clamp around both rope ends and adjust it to be as close to the branch/ beam as possible. Once you have gotten it as tight as you can use a wrench to tighten it more. Repeat with the other side.
-
3. Test it
Pull hard to insure that everything is snug. You may need to adjust the knots to make sure the swing is level. Remember that as the swing is used and the knots tighten the swing height will settle down a few inches.
